Backup Assistant App Reviews

Before, Backup Assistant worked great! I loved it. But ever since the update it hasnt been working. Every time Backup Assistant asks me if I would like to save new contacts and to connect to Backup Assistant, itll work. And then all of a sudden I have old contacts from years ago and have to go back and delete them all over again. I just want to be able to backup my phone with a few new numbers without having to worry about deleting old numbers/emails. Ugh! Fix this problem please!

I recently switched to an iPhone, and sure enough within a month it had deleted all my contacts for no reason. I had been told the iPhones were prone to doing that. Remembering that my old phone had backup assistant I thought Id see if this app still had my backups; sure enough it did! Im so happy I dont have to play the guessing game and ask people for their numbers.

I have an iPhone 4s and cant upgrade at this time. Ive been using the app for years, before iPhone came to Verizon. I called their support people which confirmed the app is not longer supported for my phone. Just a way for Verizon to have customers move to the cloud, which I cant cuz my phone isnt supported for the Verizon Cloud. So Im stuck.

App doesnt work anymore!!!!! Please fix!!!

It adds old contacts and doubled ALL of my contacts. I had to go through and delete half of my contacts because this app doubled my contact list for some reason. I forgot about that and just uploaded contacts again on my new phone and it still had double the contacts even though its updated dozens of times since it doubled them the first time. How annoying!!

Ive used this app for some time with no problems. HOWEVER today when I went to update it at the app store it asked me for the password for an email address that was not mine, that I did not recognize and that was never in my contacts. Was this just a flaw in the app or an attempt to get me to enter my password if I didnt notice? I dont know. Regardless there is no way this should happen. Verizon needs to find the problem and fix it. I deleted the app, re-downloaded it and now its using my correct email.

As many have written, the new version does not work on iPhone 4.

Every time I go through my contacts(which takes forever) & delete numbers I no longer need. The app then puts them all back on & I want to break everything in site!!!! FIX THE APP!!

My old iPhone is happy once again!

I dont like the new "feature" that asks me if I want to upgrade my storage capacity every time I use this app. One is enough!

Got the text. As was loading contacts got server error (10, 0:600)

Every time I back it up I get multiple people on my contacts which makes me go in and spend 30 minutes to an hour deleting the multiple ones. Why cant you fix this problem?

You are a fool to down load this on your phone. Complete garbage!!!!!

If youre going to get a new phone at Verizon store, this app worked well. If I had not used it, I may have lost 200 plus contacts.

Be CAREFUL - this app can destroy your contacts! Not strictly a backup app, rather a bi-directional SYNC utility. It can and will update, overwrite, even erase contact info on your phone - in spite of its name. No "Are you sure?" prompt before doing so. Its free and its horrible.

Never had a problem with this app

I continue to get a server error message every time I try to back up my contacts. Have deleted and reinstalled app several times with no success. Frustrating...
